Tamara Michel

As Program Coordinator, Tamara will assist in organizing and coordinating events for the Yale and Slavery Teachers Institute set to launch in Summer 2025, in addition to other GLC education outreach initiatives.

Prior to joining the GLC team, Tamara has served as a Department Assistant at Wesleyan University, supporting the admissions process, and as a Program Officer for the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies, where she coordinated professional learning opportunities for educators and managed organization communications. 

She holds a BS in History from Southern Connecticut State University, and has also studied teaching practices at the University of Birmingham in England.
