The Fox International Fellowship is pleased to announce a new combined partnership in Denmark’s capital with the University of Copenhagen and the Copenhagen Business School.
Founded in 1479, the University of Copenhagen is the oldest and largest university in Denmark and the second oldest in all of Scandinavia. The University’s four campuses in Copenhagen house over a hundred different institutes, departments, laboratories and centers, as well as a student body of 37,000 students, including 2,300 international students. The University’s places emphasis on integrate teaching and research, placing equal importance on both for faculty and students. Along with Yale and eight other leading research institutions in the world, the University of Copenhagen is a member of the prestigious International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU). The University counts 8 Nobel Prize winners among its alumni.
Copenhagen Business School (CBS), founded in 1917, today offers graduate and undergraduate programs to over 20,000 students. CBS’ research profile covers a broad subject area within the social sciences and humanities. This reflects a societal need to understand business issues in a broader social, political and cultural context. Known for its international focus, CBS is partnered with over 360 business schools and universities worldwide, offering extensive exchange opportunities. Many professors at CBS are recruited internationally.
PhD training at CBS is organized in three doctoral schools:
The PhD School in Economics and Management (EM) which deals with economics and management at business, industry and country level in a theoretical and empirical manner. The theoretical basis is micro and macroeconomics, industrial economics, organizational economics and psychology.
The multidisciplinary Doctoral School of Business and Management (BM) which consists of 4 PhD Programs: Digitalization, Commercial Law, Accounting and Auditing and Technologies of Managing.
The Doctoral School of Organization and Management Studies (OMS) the theoretical basis of which is interdisciplinary and builds on sociology, social psychology, political science, political economy, philosophy, communication, history, ethnography and cultural studies of organizational and management practice.
