Diana Catalina Méndez García

Graduate of the first generation of the Advanced Postgraduate Course "Gender and Law" of the Faculty of Law of UNAM. Diploma in Applied Gender Perspective and Litigation in the Defense of Human Rights of Women Victims of Violence from UNAM and the French Embassy in Mexico. She worked as a research assistant at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios de Género, as well as at the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas, both at UNAM. She was part of the internship program at Article 19. She did her social service at the General Unit for Gender Equality of the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN). She collaborated at the Instituto Federal de la Defensoría Pública (IFDP - CJF) in the Unit of Strategic Litigation in Human Rights, in the framework of the agreement of Extraordinary Representation to Indirect Victims of Feminicide.  She currently works as a researcher at the OCS Grupo de Información en Reproducción Elegida (GIRE) and is a member of the RED-CDMX of REDefine Mexico, L4W Lawyers for Women at the International Commission, as well as the Gender and Human Rights Working Group of the Latin American Interdisciplinary Gender Network.
