Jorge Antonio Sánchez Rivera

Jorge Antonio Sánchez Rivera completed his BA and MA at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus and he is currently a graduate student at the Hispanic Language and Literatures Ph.D. program, at the Romance Languages Department at Boston University. He has researched literary productions from authors such as Jorge Luis Borges, Carlos Fuentes, Julio Cortázar, Jorge Franco and Samanta Schweblin, as well as presented in various conferences. In 2018, he published his first short story collection, Para despistar a los curiosos. His current research interests include Contemporary Latin American Literature, the fantastic and neo-fantastic genres, the topic of violence in contemporary authors and the current literary productions of Argentinian women writers.
