Livia Motterle
Postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre of Gender Studies and Research, UNAM, Mexico City, with a project that analyses the different attitudes of the contemporary feminism scholars towards sex worker: the abolitionist feminist and the pro sex workers rights feminist. She obtained a degree in Philosophy from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a Master in Anthropology and Ethnography from the University of Barcelona (Spain). She holds a Ph.D. in Advanced Studies in Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona. Her academic research includes the relationships between sex work, feminism, gender, gender-related violence, body, intersectionality, public space and dissidence. Her published work and various conference papers - presented nationally and internationally - focus on these topics. Dra. Livia Motterle has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses on feminism, sexuality, sex work, intersectionality and gender-related violence.
