Regina Cortina

Regina Cortina is Professor of Education in the Department of International and Transcultural Studies at Teachers College, Columbia University.  Her Presidential Address, “’The Passion for What is Possible’ in Comparative and International Education,” was published in the Comparative Education Review in November 2019.  Professor Cortina’s teaching and publications are advancing the field by focusing on Decolonial Theories in Comparative Education.  Most recently, two of her articles were published in 2019 and 2020 in Compare: A Journal of Comparative and International Education.  Professor Cortina’s teachers every academic year a graduate seminar on Gender in International Education Development.
