Renata Álvarez León

Renata Álvarez León is a student of Political Science and Economics from Mexico City, and a passionate advocate for women's rights in Mexico and Latin America. She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at Bard College Berlin, and has also completed a portion of her degree at Sciences Po University in France and Bard College in upstate New York. With a deep belief in the transformative power of the written word, she actively engages in critical discourse on contemporary political issues. For her upcoming bachelor's thesis, she plans to delve into the impact of feminist protests on public spaces and monuments in Mexico City. Renata is committed to sharing her work in both English and Spanish, aiming to contribute to the broader cultural reach and bilingual academic focus of the Yale LAIGN.
