Henry Skalbeck

Henry Skalbeck is interested in Japanese cinema, especially films made from the 1950s to the 1970s as well as those made during the post-bubble period of the late 80s and 90s. In terms of method, Henry is interested in applying Daoist and Buddhist cosmological perspectives to both individual films and as matrices through which film as a medium can be considered. They majored in Film Studies and minored in Japanese at the University of Richmond, including a summer homestay program in Japan and a semester studying film in London.
