Saori Nozaki

Lector, East Asian Languages and Literatures

Saori Nozaki received her Master’s and Ph.D. in Japanese from the Ohio State University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on Teaching English to the Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Mississippi and a full Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) tester certification from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). Nozaki taught all levels of Japanese language courses and Japanese culture courses at Washington and Lee University, Hamilton College and Cornell University. Nozaki’s teaching style is proficiency-oriented and her recent pedagogical research interests are content-based and task-based language instruction and integration of technology into language learning.
