Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies Awarded Commendation from Japanese Government

On Wednesday, August 16, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan awarded one of the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for Fiscal Year 2023 to the Inter-University Center (IUC) for Japanese Language Study in Yokohama in recognition of its exceptional contributions to Japanese Studies in the United States. Yale University and the Council on East Asian Studies are proud to be a member of the IUC Consortium and to support its continuing mission of providing exceptionally talented students with advanced Japanese language training that enables them to become future leaders in their chosen fields, both in academia and the professions.
