Chase Daneker

Chase Daneker is a prospective Global Affairs major in Jonathan Edwards College originally hailing from the DC area. He first discovered his interest in Latin America on an independent research trip to Colombia to investigate the 2016 peace agreement with the FARC and its effects on the 2018 Colombian presidential election. Since then, he has cultivated his interest in conflict resolution and peacebuilding and has continued to study Latin America through courses on the cultural history of baseball in the Caribbean and the relationship between Spanish authors and Cuba after the Spanish-American War. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, or rooting for his favorite baseball team, the Baltimore Orioles.
