Isabela Alvarado
Isabela is a senior in Saybrook College, pursuing a major in Sociology with a concentration in Economy & Society. Her academic interests focus on Latin American migration experiences, especially the Venezuelan diaspora, influenced by her own journey from Caracas, Venezuela to Miami. This personal history fuels her passion for immigrant rights and her exploration of "home" for the displaced. In addition to her studies, Isabela actively contributes to the Migration Alliance at Yale, the SUBE Latine Pre-Professional Club, and the Urban Philanthropic Fund. She also enjoys Latin American literature and art, as well as creative writing in Spanish.
