Isabella Pedrozo

Isabella María Pedroza (she/her) is a Yale sophomore from Las Vegas, NV, on the pre-med track, majoring in the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. She works as a research assistant in the School of Medicine’s Pediatrics Respiratory Department, where she researches how UV light may help with reducing infections in hospital rooms. Outside of research, Isabella sometimes writes for Down Magazine and is a board member of Fashion & Lifestyle at Yale, combining her creative interests with her academic pursuits. With aspirations to become a physician and a strong commitment to public health advocacy, she is dedicated to examining the significance of traditional medicines/nutritional science and expanding healthcare access, enhancing outcomes especially within Latino communities. She is also committed to addressing women’s health inequities and promoting mental health awareness in underserved groups.
