Lawrence Tang
Lawrence is a sophomore in Silliman College majoring in
Environmental Studies with a certificate in Spanish. They are
interested in examining the ongoing environmental legacies of
late 20th-century political violence and repression present in
many Latin American authoritarian regimes and subsequent attempts
at reconciliation. Currently, Lawrence works as a research
assistant for the Yale School of the Environment studying Mexican
ejido level resistance efforts against resource-extractive
industries. In their free time, they can be found making pottery
in the studio, meditating at the Buddhist Sangha, or in their
room attempting to brew the perfect cup of tea!
