Madeleine Hanley
Madeleine Cepeda-Hanley is a Junior in Berkeley College
majoring in Classical Civilization, with a focus on how ancient
legal structures have impacted contemporary law. As an
Ecuadorian-American, Madeleine's research interests have been
heavily impacted by her upbringing and her family's experiences.
Her main areas of interest include migration, asylum, and
international law, especially as those fields concern the lives
in LGBTQ+ people living in Latin America and in the diaspora.
Outside of class, Madeleine is involved with Yale Law School's
Lowenstein Project, is the Treasurer of Ecuadorianos y Amigos
Unidos (ECUAU), and edits at the Yale Herald.
