Paola Martell
As Program Manager for the Council on Latin American & Iberian Studies, Paola supports the Council’s events, fellowships, communications, and operations.
Before joining Yale, Paola worked in operations at an economics and life sciences consulting firm in Chicago. Originally from the Texan-Mexican border, Paola earned an MA in Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian studies at UW-Madison and completed a thesis on migration representation through film analysis. At UW-Madison, she co-organized the university’s Migration Media Workshop, which discussed migration portrayal through art, and held wider conversations on how diversity and inclusive paradigms can be accessible through an interdisciplinary approach. She holds a BA in Cultural Studies and Latin American Studies from Columbia College Chicago.
