Karen Phan

Karen Phan is a graduate student at Yale Divinity School whose research examines medieval visual culture and the intersections of global politics with contemporary artistic practice. She earned a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Visual Art History with a concentration in International Studies on European Conflict and Resolution, and pursued advanced study in Fine Arts at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Her work investigates how visual traditions reflect and shape cultural exchange, with the aim of advancing institutional stewardship and curatorial methodology. Her interests include repatriation, social activism, and the ethics of digitization.
