Ambassador Masood Khan currently serves as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States. Ambassador Masood Khan has had a distinguished diplomatic career over the past two decades. He has also served as the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from 2016 to 2021. Before serving as the President, he was the Director General of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad, one of Pakistan’s top think tanks. His areas of specialization include nuclear diplomacy, South Asia, Pak-China relations, Pak-US relations, e-governance, multilateral diplomacy, and international humanitarian law, among others. Before joining the Foreign Service he was a lecturer in English, a Pakistan Television host, and a radio newscaster.
