Alexander Williams is a Ph.D. student in the Department of History at Yale and a J.D. student at Yale Law School. His research focuses on the history of the legal profession in postcolonial South Asia. He seeks to understand how lawyers function as powerful economic and social actors within the history of global capitalism.
