Brittany Harris

Brittany Harris is an eclectic creator with a wide-range of interests and talents ranging from art to social justice. As a visual artist, she creates art with bold colors, abstract shapes, and charismatic characters that represent different aspects of the Black Diaspora. And her art also goes beyond the canvas and to the screen, having recently being recognized at the 2018 New York University Bobst Film Festival for her film, Hidden Gem: South Africa, a short documentary examining the social and financial impact of the arts. As a social justice advocate, Brittany has worked within an international non-profit where she supported advocacy programs designed to end poverty and further justice reform. She also teaches people to tell their own experiences through social media and crafts curriculum to support educators in how to best serve their students. 
 
Brittany holds her Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy from New York University, received a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University and holds an A.A. in Apparel Management from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Her vast experience, passions and knowledge inspire her to find new ways to create and connect. 
 
Brittany’s ultimate goal through her art, educational work and social justice efforts, is to reduce violence and poverty, give voice to important societal issues, and inspire others to use their gifts to change the world.
