Amalia Tuchmann

Undergraduate Student

Amalia Tuchmann (she/her) is a senior in Pierson College raised in New York City and New Haven, Connecticut. At Yale, she is majoring in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Policy and completing a certificate in French. In the summer of 2025, she interned at the Institute for European Environmental Policy in Brussels, Belgium, and learned about the environmental policy landscape in the EU. At Yale, she is a Research Assistant in the Macmillan Center's Regional Futures Lab, where her research focuses on cities and climate change. She is currently writing her senior thesis on gender mainstreaming in urban climate planning, looking at case studies from European cities including Vienna and Barcelona and considering how their strategies could be implemented in New York City.
