Conan Thibodeau is an undergraduate student majoring in Linguistics, with an advanced language certificate in Russian. He is interested in phonetics and phonology, particularly in describing the sound systems and phonological patterns of the world's languages. In particular, he is interested in Finno-Ugric and Eastern Slavic languages. In the summer of 2025, Conan will conduct research on hypercontrastive articulation in Russian palatalization under Professor of Laboratory Phonology Jason Shaw. In the future, Conan hopes to receive his PhD in linguistics and work in academia.
