Dalena Ngo
PhD Student
Dalena Ngo is a Ph.D student in the History of Science and Medicine program and works on the expansion of the university apparatus in the healthcare sphere. She examines the history of the university, from Wilhelm Humboldt and John Henry Newman through the present. In engaging with notions of institutional bureaucracy, healthcare equity, and neoliberal austerity, she works to interrogate how the university, domestic and abroad, operate as citadels of care. She holds a BS and BA from St. Olaf College and an MA from the University of California.
