Isobel McClure

Isobel is a student in Davenport College, originally from New York, and is proficient in French as well as Spanish. She began studying German during the 2025 fall semester. She is majoring in English, with a certificate in French. Her coursework allows her to develop a global perspective and further foster her interest in international affairs.

Alongside language study, she is intrigued by the geopolitical dynamics in Europe, including questions about the European Union and the United Kingdom’s economic relationship and international standing in the region. Outside of the classroom, she is the University Desk Editor for the University administration at the Yale Daily News; she is a 2026 Director’s Fellow at Yale’s Institution for Social and Policy Studies. She plans to pursue further studies in national security and policy in the future.
