Remi Mellinghoff

Undergraduate Student
Remi Mellinghoff

Remi Mellinghoff is a sophomore in Hopper studying Environmental Engineering with certificates in German and Energy Studies. Her Eurasian identity has led her to become interested in German affairs and politics, specifically Germany's approach to the global energy crisis.
She conducts research on novel applications of electrochemistry to biomass degradation at Yale's Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering. She hopes to expand her research experiences with a summer in northern Europe, using her proficiency in German to learn about the intersection of science and energy policy.
Outside of research and classes, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and hanging out with friends.
