Interview with Viktor Yushchenko

Wiktor Babinski is a graduate student in History specializing in 20th century international history. His research focuses on the collapse of the Cold War international order in Europe and the construction of its successor dominated by NATO and the European Union, but contested by Russia.

On March 4, I met with Viktor Yushchenko and his wife Kateryna at their hotel in London, where I conducted an interview about Polish-Ukrainian relations and Ukraine’s path to Euro-Atlantic institutions. Kateryna Yushchenko acted as a translator. The interview lasted 48 minutes. Later that day, I accompanied them to the Polish Economic Forum, where President Yushchenko was a speaker and where, at lunchtime, I moderated a lunch discussion with him.
