I am currently finishing my student teaching at Stamford Public Schools. It has been immensely rewarding to give back to the community that helped raise me. I am an English educator, and am constantly trying to make my students as open-minded as possible and ruminate on different perspectives. Empathy often feels like it’s fleeting in our society, and one of the best ways to develop that skill is attempting to walk in someone else’s shoes.
