Evmorfia Pegnioglou

Lector, Program in Hellenic Studies

Evmorfia (Morfoula) Pegnioglou is a Lector in the Hellenic Studies Program at Yale University, with extensive experience in language instruction, curriculum development, and intercultural education. She holds a BA in History and Archaeology and an MA in Balkan and Ottoman History from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. 

With over a decade of experience, she has taught Modern Greek both online and in person to students of all ages and proficiency levels from around the world. She has successfully prepared numerous students for the Certification of Attainment in Greek Language (Ellinomatheia), supporting them in achieving advanced linguistic and cultural competence. In addition to her teaching, Evmorfia is an experienced translator and editor working in Greek, English, and Turkish, bringing a strong interdisciplinary and multilingual perspective to her academic and professional work.
