Jenifer Maglicic
2026 Yale & Slavery Teachers Institute Cohort Member
Jenifer is an educator with nearly two decades of experience teaching US Government across diverse learning environments. Currently, she instructs over 125 students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Her academic credentials include a Master’s in Political Science from Virginia Tech, an M.Ed from George Mason University, and National Board Certification. Notably, she was selected as the 2016 James Madison Memorial Foundation Fellow for Virginia. Jenifer is a prominent figure within the College Board community. Her contributions include:
Item Writing: Developing questions for the AP Government exam.
Leadership: Serving as a Question and Table Leader at the AP Reading.
Development: Former member of the Test Development Committee (2020–2023).
Media: Presenting in AP Live Review sessions and moderating major teacher networks.
Beyond the classroom, she is a contributing editor for leading textbooks like AMSCO and BFW, and collaborates with top civic organizations such as iCivics and the National Constitution Center. Outside of her professional life in the DC area, she is a mother of three who enjoys gardening, cycling, and hiking.
