Irazú Gómez García

Historian, PhD in Anthropology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Research lines: gender, reproductive rights and sexual diversity. Her has worked with communities of the Highlands of Chiapas (Mexico), in the field of issues related to the improvement of living conditions and the autonomous social development of the population, through productive self-management projects based on the own needs of the inhabitants in each zone. As well as in community health projects that involve the practice of traditional midwifery. She is currently a member of the Gender Commission of the Autonomous University of Chiapas as part of the Integral Program to Prevent and Eradicate Violence.
