Andrés Daniels

Andrés Daniels, originally from Mexico City, is a Master in Public Policy (MPP) candidate at the Jackson School of Global Affairs focusing on evidence-based policy interventions to alleviate extreme poverty and inequality in Latin America and other emerging economies.

Prior to Yale, Andrés served as a strategy consultant at Strategy at PwC, where he specialized in developing ESG-oriented business strategies. His previous experience includes working with the Inter-American Development Bank on groundbreaking research to identify nearshoring opportunities in strategic economic sectors, specifically targeting Mexico’s poorest and least economically developed states. He has authored several papers on international development, published in leading peer-reviewed journals, and was honored with the 2020 National Research Award by the Mexican government for his work on financial inclusion policies for the elderly and impoverished populations in Mexico.

Andrés graduated summa cum laude from Tec de Monterrey (ITESM) with a bachelor’s degree in economics. During his undergraduate studies, he completed an academic exchange at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, specializing in causal inference methods. After completing his studies at Yale, Andrés aims to collaborate with multilateral organizations to leverage his experience and academic expertise in driving transformative and sustainable change in underprivileged communities.
