Bianca Flores

Bianca Flores, an undergraduate student in Grace Hopper College, is a first-generation student raised at the confluence of Mexican and American cultures. She is the daughter of Mexican immigrants and was raised in Dallas, Texas. Bianca’s scholarly interests lie at the intersection of education policy, culturally sustaining pedagogy, migration studies, and youth rights. She is also pursuing a certificate in Education Studies, with a focus on how Latin American education systems respond to inequality and shape students’ civic and social opportunities. Growing up in a predominantly Latine community and visiting Mexico regularly, she witnessed firsthand the educational inequities faced by underserved communities. She aims to apply a transnational lens to advance educational equity across the Americas and contribute to policy frameworks that center the rights and experiences of marginalized youth.

Bianca hopes to earn a BA in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration alongside certificates in Ethnography and Education Studies.
