Carolina Marques de Mesquita
Carolina is a graduate student in the Department of Political Science at Yale, where her interests lie in environmental politics with a regional focus on Latin America. In particular, she is interested in coalition-building and social movements in rural communities, and those communities' efforts to influence climate policymaking.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Carolina taught English through the Fulbright U.S. Student program in Portugal and worked in the nonprofit sector in the Washington, DC area. She holds an MA from the University of Chicago’s Committee on International Relations and undergraduate degrees from Arizona State University.
