Elena Serpas
Elena Serpas (she/her) is an undergraduate in History and Education Studies. She is interested in the studies of settler colonialism and love, including the role of love in forming and dismantling settler projects. As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, Elena is currently researching how Mayan communities involved in resistance projects during Guatemala’s genocidal armed conflict (1960-1996) theorized love and kinship in their organizing. Elena is also passionate about teaching and holds educational roles at the Yale Farm and as a Yale College Communication and Consent Educator.
