Elsa Holahan
Elsa (she/her) is a junior in Timothy Dwight College majoring in American Studies and is from New Haven, Connecticut. She is interested in anti-imperial and -colonial struggle in Latin America, as well as the making of the modern-day carceral state as a global project.
Elsa is a Mellon Mays and Bouchet Undergraduate Fellow and is dedicating her research to the role of self-defense, militancy, and violence in anti-police and prison abolition movements. Additionally, Elsa is an Academic Strategies Mentor with the Yale Prison Education Initiative where she facilitates weekly study halls for students at the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution.
