Melanie Ulloa
Melanie is a Cuban American first-generation student at Yale. She grew up in Miami, Florida, where she developed a strong interest for diplomacy and Latin American immigration policy. She is interested in social policy work and international development efforts in the region.
In high school, she founded a FLOMUN, a nonprofit organization helping Spanish-speaking students across Florida develop public speaking skills and attend Model UN conferences free of charge.
At Yale, Melanie has served as the Chief Financial Officer for Yale's Latinx Business and Leadership Student Association (Sube). She is also working on an independent research project based in Guantanamo Bay and Guantanamo City for her senior thesis in History.
