Jingyuan Wu
Jingyuan Wu is a Ph.D. student from the Department of International Studies, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo. Her transdisciplinary research focuses on international environmental cooperation, with a geographical emphasis on East Asia. She holds a Master of International Studies with the honor of the Department Head Award 2022 from the University of Tokyo and a Bachelor of Economics from Sichuan University.
Besides her academic training in China and Japan, she has been honing her skillset and practicing her knowledge in the field of international cooperation as a research assistant/intern, at organizations such as the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) Ogata Sadako Research Institute for Peace and Development, JICA Tokyo Center, The Secretariat of the High-level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters, and Non-Profit Organizations. She is also dedicated to academic community services for international knowledge communication, working for the secretariat of the Asian Association for Environmental History and the Japan Society for Afrasian Studies to date.
These academic and practical experiences have combined to make her passionate about contributing to more inclusive international cooperation for a sustainable global future.
