I am a 2nd grade teacher at Goodwin Elementary in Old Saybrook, a small district on the shoreline of CT. After working with the CCSS last summer to write model social studies lessons, my goal this summer is to revise and expand upon those lessons and integrate the theme of Resistance and Abolition in our Leadership Past and Present social studies unit through picture books, art and music.
