There are several options for traveling to and from New Haven. Following are some guidelines to help you plan your trip.
By Air:
The Tweed-New Haven Airport is located about 15 minutes from Yale Campus and is serviced by U.S. Airways Express commuter service and Pan Am Clipper Connection. Taxis from Tweed cost about $15 one way. There will be a taxi stand outside the baggage claim area, or you may call Metro Taxi at 203-777-7777.
Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT, an approximate one-hour commute, is convenient and offers a wide variety of carriers. Taxis from Bradley to New Haven will cost around $100. Ground transportation from Bradley International Airport to New Haven is also serviced by Connecticut Limo (http://www.ctlimo.com/ or 800-472-LIMO) and will cost approximately $44 one way. Connecticut Limo may make several stops en route to New Haven and will let passengers out at its Long Wharf Terminal. Passengers should plan to take a taxi from Long Wharf Terminal to Yale Campus, a 10-minute ride (approximately $15). For an additional charge, you may also make a special request to be dropped off at Phelps Gate on Yale Campus, about a 10-minute walk to Luce Hall where the conference will be held.
Other air travel options include the New York area airports: JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark, which are about an hour and a half commute from New Haven. All three airports are also serviced by Connecticut Limo (see information above). Additionally, Prime Time Shuttle (http://www.2theairport.com/ 800-377-8745) provides transportation from JFK and LaGuardia. Prime Time Shuttle will also drop off passengers at Phelps Gate on Yale Campus. Taxis from JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark to New Haven will cost about $150 to $175.
Passengers flying into Newark may also take Amtrak directly into New Haven. (See information below.)
Passengers flying into JFK may take the New York Airport Express Service Bus (718-875-8200) to the Bus Terminal, Grand Central Station, or Penn Station. Buses depart every 20-30 minutes from the Express Bus Stop located at each terminal. The fare is $15.
By Rail:
Amtrak provides service directly from Newark Airport and from Penn Station in New York City into New Haven’s Union Station, about a 10-minute cab ride from downtown New Haven and Yale Campus. For information on Amtrak schedules and fares, please visit http://www.amtrak.com.

By Car:
Interstate 91:
From North, Hartford/Springfield: Take Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Straight off ramp, continue on Trumbull Street, through four traffic lights. Turn right, at the fourth light, onto Hillhouse Avenue. Luce Hall is located about half a block on your left.
Interstate 95:
From South and West, NY/NJ: Connect to I-91 North in New Haven; Take Exit 3, Trumbull Street, and follow directions above for I-91.
From North and East, Providence/New London:
Connect to I-91 North in New Haven; Take Exit 3, Trumbull Street and follow directions above for I-91.
Parking:
Two-hour metered parking is available on the street near Luce Hall. Since there is limited parking on the street, we suggest you park in one of the nearby lots and garages around Yale campus.
