Ronaldo Omizolo de Souza
Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant - Portuguese
Ronaldo Omizolo de Souza (he/him) is from Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul and is a Brazilian Portuguese Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant. His first degree is in Biotech from the Federal University of Grande Dourados. It was at this university that his interest in academic life and teaching led to an exchange scholarship to the Athlone Institute of Technology in Ireland. During this experience, he had contact with different cultures, which sparked a great love for learning languages. Back in Brazil, he made a career change and got a second degree in English at Estácio de Sá University to focus his studies on Linguistics and Language Acquisition. He has been teaching English as a second language since 2015.
In addition to the scientific world and languages, Ronaldo also speaks Spanish, he is passionate about literature, travel, and spending time with family and friends. He also loves outdoor adventures and nature, a taste cultivated by living in a region with such a rich culture and biome as the Pantanal.
