Tomás Brusco
Tomás Brusco is a lecturer, civil servant and master’s student in International Politics and Economics at the University of San Andrés. Convinced of the importance of international cooperation to arrive at efficient health systems, he is researching about the practices of the World Bank in health funding in South America to propose a framework to guide practices for healthcare policy with the aim of improving fragmented and misaligned aid allocation. Tomás holds a Law degree from the University of Buenos Aires, a Master's Degree in Business Management from the University of Bologna (thesis on venture funding in Latin America) and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of La Plata (thesis on Inter-American Development Bank policymaking). He is currently teaching health law and administrative law at the University of Buenos Aires. Also, he is serving as the Head of the Administrative Department at the National Institute of Social Services for Retirees and Pensioners, the largest health insurer for elderly people of Latin America. Tomás has published books on international policy, law and poetry.
