Leshan Wang

Leshan grew up in Shanxi Province, China, and pursued his undergraduate studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Initially a mathematics student, he later decided to pursue his passion for the humanities and transferred to the Chinese Language and Literature Department. He is passionate about integrating literature, cultural studies, and critical theories to analyze the underlying thoughts, cultural phenomena, and artistic characteristics in literary works. Currently, contemporary poetry is his favorite genre of literature. During his MA stage, he aims to expand his knowledge by exploring disciplines such as gender studies, sinophone studies, and comparative literature, or possibly studying another language. Also, he hopes to refine a more specific research field to prepare for potential doctoral research.
