Kempf-funded events range in scope and size from one-day workshop gatherings of faculty colleagues from peer institutions, to multi-day conferences held in collaboration with several university schools and units. Recently, MacMillan awarded funding toward:

  • A conference on antisemitism and the challenges of online content moderation (Yale Program for the Study of Antisemitism);
  • A conference focused on global health and sustainable development through joint Brazil-U.S. initiatives (Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies and the School of Public Health);

Hear from a Recipient:

We could not have done this without the Kempf Fund. It allowed us to bring scholars from around the world, to introduce Yale audiences to deeper studies of one of Brazil’s major world figures, and to continue building bridges across cultures through literature.
