Kempf-funded events range in scope and size from one-day workshop gatherings of faculty colleagues from peer institutions, to multi-day conferences held in collaboration with several university schools and units. Recently, MacMillan awarded funding toward:

  • A conference on antisemitism and the challenges of online content moderation (Yale Program for the Study of Antisemitism);
  • A conference focused on global health and sustainable development through joint Brazil-U.S. initiatives (Council on Latin American and Iberian Studies and the School of Public Health);
  • A symposium on the work of Lithuanian composer and painter Mikalojus Čiurlionis (Baltic Studies and the European Studies Council).

MacMillan will begin accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year in early December 2025. Please return here for updates.
