Research
The research under the topic “Urban Crime and Social Spatial Structure of City” is relevant in relation to the criminogenic situation in cities, which sometimes becomes uncontrollable by the police and law enforcement institutions. The aim of the research is to identify the relations between urban crime and social spatial structure, to identify the potentially dangerous open public spaces (from the point of view of crime and urban structure), and to compare results from the USA and Lithuania. The results of the research will aid in forecasting potentially dangerous city spaces, also in urban planning for the creation of safer environment.
