“Present and Future of Transatlantic Cooperation”
The European Studies Council will host a conversation with EU Ambassador Jovita Neliupšienė on trade, international security, and the future of EU-U.S. relations. The discussion will be moderated by Marnix Amand, Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Jackson School of Global Affairs and the Department of Economics at Yale University.
Jovita Neliupšienė has served as the European Union Ambassador to the United States since January 2024. Previously, she served as Lithuania’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs (2022–2023), Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation (2020–2022), and as the country’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the European Union (2015–2020). From 2009 to 2015, she was chief foreign policy advisor to President Dalia Grybauskaitė. A career diplomat, she has held various roles in Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and taught at Vilnius University. She holds degrees in political science and international relations from Vilnius University, a law degree from Mykolas Romeris Law University, and earned a PhD in social science in 2009.
