Abigail Kromminga

Abigail Kromminga is a PhD student in the History Department focusing on the intellectual and cultural history of modern Europe. She is particularly interested in German-language cultures of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and the history of religion, psychoanalysis, archival theory, and more broadly the organization and institutionalization of memory.
Prior to beginning in the History Department, Abigail processed archival collections and assisted researchers in Yale Special Collections and taught English as a Fulbright fellow in Hamburg, Germany. She holds an MA in Religion from Yale Divinity School and a BA in History from Smith College.
