Alec Wood
PhD student
Alec Wood is a PhD student in musicology. A native of St. Louis, he graduated from Grinnell College in 2019 with a B.A. in French and Music. Alec’s research interests include Scriabin, Soviet history, philosophies of rhythm and time, the relationship between aesthetics and politics, and Byzantine music. He has presented his work at national and regional conferences of the American Musicological Society and Society for Music Theory.
