AM Lisko

PhD Student

AM Lisko is a PhD student in Italian Studies, focusing on modern Italian history, culture, and memory. Lisko is interested in the ways that Italian history is preserved, reconfigured, analyzed, and contested within Italy, as well as how it is mediated and translated in broader international contexts. Lisko holds a bachelor’s degree in Italian, English, and Global Studies from the University of Alabama (2018) and a master’s degree in Literary Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2020). Lisko’s research addresses the memorialization of the victims of political violence in twentieth-century Italy.
