Amelia Stefanovics

Undergraduate Student
Amelia Stefanovics

Amelia is pursuing double major in Global Affairs and Earth Sciences, interested in the geography, history, and policies of Northern Europe. In the Earth Sciences, she studies on the Environment and Energy track, and is especially passionate about geothermal, nuclear, and tidal energy systems, nuclear energy stigma, as well as the efficiency of renewable energies in Scandinavia.
She is also greatly interested in European Jewish history outside of the major European Jewish diasporas like Poland, instead focusing on regions such as Finland and Scandinavia. Through the lens of the Winter War and the Second World War, she researches evidence of the Holocaust in the Nordic and Baltic regions, where the Holocaust was either covered-up or disregarded in the expanse of history.
Currently, Amelia is pursuing a research project on Finnish-Jewish soldiers in World War II and the Finnish Holocaust.
